What is tight-lacing?

Continued wear of tight corsets is usually referred as "tight-lacing". There are other defintions, but on this site wear of corsets becomes tight-lacing when:

  • The corset is worn 12 hours or more per day. The effectively means that the person is wearing a corset more than ½ of the time. The person is wearing a tight corset more often than she is not.
  • The reduction in size must me 10% or more. So the waist size measured OVER the corset must me 10% less than the waist size measured over the skin.
